Coffee Bugisu comes from East Uganda, from the area bordering to Kenia, where there is a mountain Algon, which, judging by her huge base, was once the biggest mountain in Africa. Two tribes live in this area - Bugis and Sabin. They have their own dialects that are very different from the rest of the tribes of Uganda. Coffee from East Uganda has more acidity than coffee from Western Uganda, and therefore costs a little more. Total East Uganda produces about 250 thousand bags of 60 kg. Coffee grows at a height of 1300 to 2000 meters above sea level on volcanic soils. Farmers often grow coffee and bananas on the same plot of land, and, for example, Mais is grown in separate sites.
