Description

J. P. Chenet, "Original" Shiraz is a dry red wine made from Shiraz grapes grown in the vineyards of the farm in Languedoc. The Pays d'OC area has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. Most of the precipitation falls in spring and autumn. Dry continental winds from the northwest cool the vineyards, which helps to reduce the spread of grape diseases, and warm winds from the south bring life-giving rains. Harvesting is carried out when the berries reach optimal maturity. At the winery, the grapes are peeled from the stems and crushed. Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature for 6-12 days. Maceration also takes place at a controlled temperature of about 25 ° C and can last up to 1 month to extract color, aroma and tannins. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats to preserve the richness of flavors.
