The original name of the enterprise at the time of its foundation in 1935: "Trout pond farm of industrial type". The name has been changing, and for many years it has been CJSC "Agricultural Breeding Plant "Forelevy". CJSC SPZ "Forelevy" is an independent complex that solves production, breeding and scientific tasks. The plant has 35 concrete outgrowth, uterine, feeding and quarantine pools with a total area of 10,000 m2, 4 carp ponds with a total area of 15 hectares, a workshop for incubating trout eggs with a capacity of 3 million eggs, a workshop for growing trout larvae with a one-time capacity of 800 thousand larvae. The breeding plant is one of the largest fisheries enterprises in Russia, which has kept a large industrial herd of producers of a unique breed of rainbow trout "kamloops" clean. "Forelevy" provides Russian fisheries enterprises with breeding fish planting material and fertilized caviar. For the first time in world practice, a repair and breeding herd of whitefish was formed at the plant under artificial conditions - the most valuable representative of whitefish listed in the Red Book, which opens up broad prospects for both its commercial cultivation and the organization of artificial reproduction. In the ponds of the breeding plant there is a collection of fish - mirror and scaly carp, white and variegated carp, white and black cupid, catfish, golden and silver carp, colored koi carp. The plant is engaged in active scientific activity, closely cooperates with the Ministry of Agriculture named after K.A. Timiryazev, the Krasnodar branch of VNIRO, "NC Selectsentr" of Moscow and other scientific institutions. In particular, granular feeds for different age groups of trout, water purification technologies using zeolite, as well as auto-feeders for trout have been developed and implemented. On the basis of these scientific achievements, two candidate's and one doctoral dissertations were defended. CJSC SPZ "Forelevy" is an active member of the Association "Rosrybkhoz". For 80 years, the plant has sold more than 5 thousand tons of trout, more than 4 thousand tons of cyprinid fish species in the North Caucasus. More than 200 thousand vacationers visited the excursions of the breeding plant. CJSC SPZ "Forelevy" becomes a center of environmental education for school students. Schoolchildren from other cities of the Stavropol Territory come on excursions. The Forelevy Breeding plant takes an active part in international, All-Russian and regional exhibitions. He has a medal of the participant of the international exhibition "Green Week" in Berlin. The breeding plant constantly receives gold medals and diplomas of the agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn". In 2011, the breeding plant was the winner of the XIII Stavropol Regional exhibition of breeding animals. The plant is the owner of 8 cups of regional exhibitions of breeding animals, the owner of gold and silver medals, certificates of honor and awards.
