The Blagovarsky poultry factory has been conducting its chronology since 1977, when a commodity farm was created – the Blagovarskaya poultry farm for the production of duck meat. In 1995, the company received the status of a breeding plant, and since 2012, it also performs the functions of the breeding and genetic center of the Russian Federation for breeding waterfowl. The All-Russian Scientific and Production System, which unites the activities of poultry farms in more than 30 regions of Russia engaged in breeding and rearing waterfowl, operates on the basis of the plant. More than twenty million breeding eggs and more than ten million young birds are sold annually through this system. In recent years, the poultry farms of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have also been partners of the enterprise. In the structure of the total number of ducks and geese bred in Russia, the breeding bird of the Blagovarsky breeding plant is about 80%. A distinctive feature of ducks and geese of the Blagovarsky breeding in comparison with existing breeds and crosses of waterfowl is their high productivity and increased adaptability to breeding in various natural and climatic conditions. Poultry meets the strictest requirements of many categories of producers, both in the public and private sectors of the economy. The company annually sells to consumers more than 3.6 million pieces of breeding eggs and 1.7 million heads of young poultry. The total land area of the enterprise is 12541 hectares, including 12137 hectares of agricultural land. Of these, 11921 hectares are occupied by arable land, 199 hectares of pastures and 17 hectares of hayfields. Along with poultry farming, crop production and dairy cattle breeding are successfully developing at the Blagovarsky Poultry Farm. The average annual number of birds by species is: ducks 115.7 thousand heads, geese 41.6 thousand heads, guinea fowls 3.4 thousand heads and pheasants 0.8 thousand heads. The team employs 453 people who are involved in all sectors of production. In the structure of the poultry plant, there is a scientific division, in addition to the main poultry workshops, there are: auto garage, feed mill, workshops for production and technical maintenance, slaughter and processing of poultry meat, a canteen, a bakery and a buffet.
