Fondancy D - Limonen

Description

D-Limonen is a widespread terpene hydrocarbon, which is the main component of orange peel oil (up to 80-90%). It is also contained in almost all citrus and many other essential oils: lemon, mandarin, lime, grapefruit, bergamot, neroli, petigreine, elements, cumin, dill, fenhel, parsley, eriggeron, orthodon. D-Limonen is obtained by fractional distillation mixtures of terpenes formed in the process of their separation from citrus essential oils. Currently, the annual production of D-Limonen in the world reaches 70 thousand tons and continues to grow rapidly.It is an optical isomer of L-Limonena, they were not previously separated and considered to be a decent agent together, these isomers cause the smell of a zhvichny turbidar. Unlike D-Limonuna, the smell of L-Limonena has a pronounced smell of needles, this enantiomer is also used as a fragrance. Its possible carcinogenic properties of L-Limonena are discussed.
