Meristem Laboratory is a highly efficient biotechnological complex for year-round and seasonal plant production. IP Kharitonov M.V. is engaged in the propagation of seedlings of berry and ornamental crops using invitro technology "in vitro" (in vitro) with further growth using advanced scientific achievements in the field of clonal micro-propagation, we produce more than 200 varieties of planting material for its further cultivation in nurseries. Plants created under controlled laboratory conditions have high resilience and yield an excellent harvest. IN VITRO LABORATORY What do we do if we want to plant this or that plant on our site? We usually buy seeds or ready–made seedlings for growing herbs and vegetables, seedlings for planting shrubs and trees, seedlings or bulbs for growing flowers. Do we often think about how the seedlings were obtained? It turns out that in addition to traditional cuttings, inoculations, growing from seeds, propagation by rhizomes, bulbs, etc. in most countries, seedlings of many plants today are obtained by microclonal propagation. This method is especially widely used for growing plants that are difficult to reproduce in other ways. Also, this method is indispensable if it is necessary to constantly receive a significant amount of high-quality seedlings in a fairly short time. With the help of microclonal reproduction (another name of the method is meristemic reproduction), ornamental and fruit and berry plants, indoor and cut flowers, potatoes and other vegetables are grown. Microclonal propagation of plants is widely used in the USA, Holland, Poland, France, Japan, Thailand. Russia has also accumulated extensive experience in the meristemic reproduction of plant species important for agriculture. Laboratories for microclonal reproduction and improvement of breeding material have been established in almost all Russian research institutes and breeding centers. Relatively recently, meristemic technologies have been applied by large plant nurseries and agricultural enterprises. In Russia, the meristem technology has so far found the widest application in obtaining healthy potato seeds.
