Gera is a small family farm in the Jimmma zone belonging to Mustafa Mohamud Ali. In the 1940s, Mohamed Ali's father received a preferential agricultural land on which he decided to grow coffee. On 25 hectares, the farmer landed wild coffee trees from the woods chok. Today, this area is a guarded natural reserve. Wild forest coffee from the protected area makes the farm ger unique coffee house. The first yields of the family selling Yemensky purchases who came to Ethiopian villages over the grain. Father Mohamed Ali had connections in the commercial world, thanks to which the farm developed, and family business. Mustafa Mohamed Ali manages a farm for more than 30 years. He follows his father's tradition and does everything possible to preserve a unique heritage. Local varieties of Arabica on the farm grow as part of the forest landscape. Mustafa and family lives near the plantation in the town of Agaro. The last two years, the farmer sells coffee directly to European importers. This became possible due to changes in Ethiopian legislation. Prior to that, small manufacturers sold coffee either to collectors or through the Ethiopian commodity exchange. Mohamed Ali Gera is arabica of local varieties treated with in a natural way. All coffee in the SCR Single Origin ™ line is roasted under the order in Kaliningrad. Before sealing each packaging, we oust air nitrogen from it. It longer retains freshness of roasting and taste grain quality. Our coffee is best to drink from 2 to 8 weeks after roasting. But after 8 weeks after roasting, the grain is still tasty.
